Two site managers shortlisted for North East award

April 2018

Two site managers at our North East developments have been shortlisted for a prestigious regional award.

Steve Dickson at our Fairfields Manor development and George Rudlin at The Woodlands have reached the final stages of the Local Authority Building Control (LABC) Northern Building Excellence Awards 2018, and will compete in the ‘Construction Professional of the Year – Residential’ category.

In last year’s awards, Paul Tate, our assistant site manager at The Woodlands, won the equivalent category for the Northern region.

MD for Story Homes in the North East, Ian Worgan, said: “I’m really pleased that Steve and George have been recognised by LABC this year for their high quality standards and commitment to partnership working. They have both been a real asset to the developments they manage and their nominations are very well-deserved.”

The winners will be announced at a black tie dinner at the Hilton Newcastle Gateshead on 15 June. All winners from the regional awards will automatically qualify for the LABC Grand Finals, taking place in London in November.
