This week our show home spotlight is on The Hewson, a 4-bedroom detached home with character on the inside and out.
We have two beautiful Hewson show homes, one at The Ridings in Carlisle and the other at Heaton Green in Kirkham. We also have one coming to St John’s Manor in Callerton, which we’ll be opening the doors to soon.
Why we love it:
We love the open-plan layout of this spacious home. Our favourite room is the kitchen/dining/family area, which spans the width of the back of the property, with French doors in a glazed outcrop, flooding the room with light and extending the living space – perfect for entertaining. There’s also a stylish breakfast bar, which is ideal for quick meals when you don’t want to set the table.
There’s four spacious bedrooms; our favourite is the master bedroom, which has a separate dressing area and en-suite with beautiful Porcelanosa tiles – this space gives us serious home envy! One of the guest bedrooms also has an en-suite, which is great if you have teens who need their own space, and there’s a main bathroom, big enough for the whole family.
Styling tips:
The Hewson at The Ridings, Carlisle
We love the use of neutral tones in this show home, which was styled by Show Business Interiors, making the most of the natural light, creating an airy feel.
The entrance hall sets the sophisticated tone with simple yet eye-catching feature wallpaper that has a luxurious finish. We love the use of royal blue in the lounge, which adds small pops of colour to this family space.
The kitchen/dining/family area has a clean finish, with an abstract stand out feature wall. The blue velvet chairs and marble dining table add an elegant touch to this versatile room.
Upstairs we love the space themed bedroom, perfect for little ones. The use of blue velvet in the master bedroom brings the luxurious feel upstairs, with built in mirrored wardrobes that make this already spacious room feel even bigger.
The Hewson at Heaton Green, Kirkham
This show home, which was styled by Show Business Interiors, also has a neutral theme, but uses sandy shades which adds warmth to the rooms, as well as pops of orange.
We love the modern edge to the styling of this home. The lounge has a rustic feel, with a feature wall that includes a floating cabinet, as well as abstract shelves with green foliage and ceramic accessories.
One of our favourite details in this home is in the kitchen/dining/family area, which uses picture frames, mirrors and wall hung plants to create an eye-catching feature wall. We also love the abstract light above the dining table and the use of foliage throughout, bringing the outdoors-in.
The master bedroom is beautifully styled, with a full width headboard and stylish corner fitted wardrobes. The children’s bedroom has an Egyptian safari theme, which fits perfectly with the sandy tones used throughout.
