Lancashire – A county for all seasons

November 2016

The lucky residents of Lancashire know the arrival of Winter never robs their lovely county of its charms.

Whether they live in thriving market towns such as Kirkham or in nearby Preston and Blackpool, there’s plenty to please whatever the season.

The stunning Lancashire coast, for instance, is a beautiful place to walk and relax whether it’s Winter and Summer.

The Fylde town of St Anne’s boasts rolling sand-dunes and beautiful beaches – while nearby, Lytham provides a safe haven for a quarter of a million migrating birds in the colder months. Preston’s attractive marina provides a different kind of haven for boating enthusiasts.

Blackpool’s illuminations have been lighting up the evenings since September, with the Christmas lights banishing any Winter gloom!

And elsewhere, outdoor activities continue unabated, with gorgeous countryside for walking and biking, and leisure facilities on hand such as the Royal Lytham Golf Club.

Never mind the chill. North West living provides a world of attractions, whatever the weather.
