Building in the best locations

July 2017

Recently the Lake District National Park in Cumbria has joined just over 1,000 iconic locations such as The Great Barrier Reef and Grand Canyon in becoming a World Heritage Site. This is remarkable news for Cumbria and a great reflection on why there are so many people who love being able to call the Lake District their home.

Cumbria is a beautiful and picturesque county famous for its breathtaking scenery, history and heritage, as well as numerous species of wildlife. The area is renowned for its Lake District, the largest National Park in England, made up of many stretches of water, mountains, forests and spectacular coastlines. It is also home to the country’s highest point, Scafell Pike, and deepest water, Wastwater.

Story Homes is proud to have many developments located only a stone’s throw away from the Lake District including Strawberry Grange in Cockermouth which is often described as the “Gateway to the Lake District”, Greengate Meadow in Levens, located on the southern outskirts of the National Park and various sites in Carlisle, Penrith and Whitehaven which are only a 20 minute drive from some of the UK’s most stunning landscapes and lakes.
