Our first show complex in Blackburn was officially opened by the Mayor of Blackburn with Darwen, Cllr Pat McFall, with the launch event attracting more than 100 visitors through the doors.
The 205-home development, The Sycamores, is located off Gib Lane and features a collection of three, four and five-bedroom homes.
We invited the Mayor to perform a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of the show complex at The Sycamores VIP launch event. The complex showcases three of our most popular homes – the five-bedroom detached ‘Mayfair’, the four-bedroom ‘Marlow’ and the four-bedroom detached “Wellington”, giving visitors an insight into the luxury lifestyle that a Story Home can provide.
The Mayfair is a beautiful house and the interior design of silvery blues gives a feeling of tranquillity throughout the house enhancing its features to set it above the rest. The show home displays the superior build quality and the features that come as part of our specification. Abode, the company commissioned for the interior design of the show homes took inspiration from elements around the local area to style the property.
This impressive home has the wow factor as soon as you open the door with the light and airy hall leading to the kitchen, dining and family area with its high end stylish kitchen from Nixons with integrated “A” rated appliances. The kitchen has been designed with family life and entertaining in mind – with full-height contemporary units using accent colours and contrasting features, an island with hob and breakfast bar. The design includes a partition in the dining area to zone a family area off as well as bi-folding doors to open the space up in to the garden – it really is the heart of the home and the perfect place to sit back and relax with the family or entertain with friends.
The design continues throughout the house and includes key pieces such as the media unit in the spacious lounge which also includes bi-folding doors which also open up to the rear garden area. Upstairs there are five spacious bedrooms, the master bedroom and bedroom two both come with boutique style en-suites including wall hung vanity basin units and a range of Porcelanosa tiling. The master bedroom features a show stopping floor to ceiling headboard which encapsulates the design flowing throughout the house. The children’s bedrooms have been brought to life – one is space themed with bespoke wallpaper of the moon and stars and it’s very own NASA space station; whilst another is Circus themed with beautiful feature wallpaper complete with its very own circus tent!

We have seen strong sales at The Sycamores since the launch of its first phase in 2018, with significant uptake of the high specification homes in recent months.

Joanne said: “We secured our home off-plan at the sales launch last year. It is great to see the development come to life with the impressive streetscene as you enter the development, the beautiful show complex and the views of the rolling countryside from the homes.
