Carlisle City Council has granted permission for our detailed proposals to build 91 high quality new homes on land at Carlisle Road, Brampton. The proposed development will deliver a mixture of high-specification house types, and 27 of these new homes will be affordable.
As part of the approved plans, new secondary school places and improvements to local play facilities will be funded, and there will be a travel plan in place encouraging future residents to use sustainable forms of transport. The scheme will also provide benefits for the local economy during the construction phase as a result of direct and indirect employment opportunities through the subcontractor and supply chains.
David Hayward, Planner for Cumbria and South West Scotland, said: “We are thrilled that Carlisle City Council has granted us permission to build these new homes in Brampton. Our proposals will create a sustainable and integrated development that will make an important contribution to the district’s housing supply. We are very much looking forward to bringing our high quality homes to the local area as part of this well thought out and sensitively designed scheme.”
