We have submitted a new full planning application for part of the site known as H4 and H5 at Summerpark, Dumfries.
Following a public consultation earlier this year, we are seeking approval for a new full planning application for 90 homes on this part of Summerpark, which is located within the Marchfield Area Development Framework. The site was previously approved for planning in 2011, and this application would be a re-plan of part of the site subject to that approval.
Summerpark is Story Homes’ first ever development in Scotland and is still the biggest in Dumfries and Galloway to date. It’s been more than 12 years since work commenced at this development in Dumfries, and the new-build homes at the development are proving to be more popular than ever. The development has also received numerous awards in recognition of its quality
Senior Development Planner, David Hayward, said: “Story Homes has submitted a new full planning application for part of the H4 and H5 site located in our Summerpark development, in Dumfries.
“Our application details how the development has been replanned to include our latest house types, including a mixture of three, four and five-bedroom houses.”
The scheme will have benefits for the local economy during the construction phase as a result of direct and indirect employment opportunities through the sub-contractor and supply chains, as well as increased demand for local services when the new houses are occupied.
We anticipate a decision in summer 2021.
