Home is where the heart is, and Alec and Christine Coulton know all about this after living in their current home for 38 years. They are taking a leap to their new found love, a four-bedroom Winchester at our D’Urton Manor development in Preston.
Retirees Alec and Christine live in a four-bedroom detached home, just off Eastway, overlooking the development. They weren’t looking to move but have been eagerly watching homes being built here and at our Waterside development in Cottam, and loved what they have seen.
Alec said “We have loved watching the houses go up at D’Urton Manor and Waterside. We love the individual design of the homes and you can really see the quality of them as the street comes together.
“We live around the corner from the development at D’Urton Manor and were excited to see that Story Homes are building their homes here – it’s just the right location for us as we can literally see the site from our bedroom window.”
Alec and Christine have bought the four-bedroom detached Winchester and will move in to their new home in Spring 2017. We love entertaining our family and friends and this is just perfect for us.
“Our sales executive Tom has been brilliant. He’s taken us through the HOME scheme step by step. We haven’t bought a new home for nearly 40 years, so it was all new to us and we were delighted when our home sold within days using their HOME scheme.
“We were amazed at what comes with the house and I feel like we have been able to add extras, personalise our home and customise it to our requirements. Tom pays so much attention to detail and wants us to be happy with what we are choosing and where everything goes. I am really looking forward to moving in and not having any DIY to do. We can just put our stamp on it as we’ve picked neutral colours; and to be honest our kitchen is nearly the same as we have now.

We have two grown up children and a granddaughter who visit us regularly so it is great to still have space they can call home too.
