Developments in Kendal

Our high-quality new build developments are perfectly situated on the outskirts of Kendal. The market town is located on the southeast border of the Lake District National Park and only a short distance from Windermere.

Living in Kendal

The town itself has cobbled streets and is nestled amongst magnificent fells, offering unique shopping, eating and drinking opportunities at every turn. For a slice of history, many local vendors sell the famous Kendal Mint Cake – the delicious ‘emergency’ ration for hill walkers and mountaineers alike.

Oxenholme Train Station provides links to other major cities including London, Glasgow and Manchester airport. Alternatively, our developments are close to the M6 motorway, linking you to the north and south of the county.

Our developments are ideally situated near a wide range of primary and secondary schools, many rated ‘good’ by Ofsted, as well as the University of Cumbria campus in Ambleside. For Brigsteer Rise, the closest schools include Old Sutton C of E Primary School and Queen Elizabeth School, and the school close to Fellside Manor is St Patrick’s C of E Primary School.

The exterior of The Cranford show home at Brigsteer Rise, Kendal - Story Homes

Buying our first home together we didn’t really know what to expect, but as soon as we saw The Hewson show home nothing else compared and we knew that was our dream home.

I love the hallway, it’s a decent size and feels spacious. The stairs are wider than a usual house, even my old larger house, so the combination of the stairs and the hallway makes it feel welcoming and it doesn’t feel tight.

We’d never even stepped foot in a Lawson before we got the keys, so when we walked around the property for the first time we were quite literally brought to tears. The details, the finishes, the space and the garden took our breath away. The thought of being able to bring our family up in such a stunning home is just simply miraculous.
