Cheshire East Council is in the process of considering the most appropriate locations for future housing growth in the Borough and within Local Service Centres such as Alderley Edge. The land at Ryleys Farm provides a highly sustainable location for new housing together with the opportunity to deliver a wide range of community benefits both on and off site.
Story Homes is holding a public consultation for the potential development of Ryleys Farm to the south west of Alderley Edge. With the potential to deliver up to 300 new homes in addition to high specification sports facilities, village and school parking. We regard this location to be the most appropriate in Alderley Edge to meet housing demand whilst retaining the character and identity of Alderley Edge.
John Winstanley, Strategic Land Manager at Story Homes, said: “We want to deliver a sensitively designed residential-led development that integrates with the existing community, as well as providing local benefits such as jobs, community facilities and opportunities for public open space.
“We want to hear what local people think about the plans for Ryleys Farm site and a public consultation has been arranged to allow residents to speak with members of the development team and contribute ideas and suggestions on what the plans should include.
“We believe that that the best way to deliver a sensible solution to the development of this site is to work closely with the local community. We want to work with residents, councillors, stakeholders and other interested parties in developing a sustainable scheme.”
Local residents and community stakeholders will be asked what they think should be included in the proposed development of the site at a public consultation on Thursday 30 June 2016.
Land at Ryleys Farm public consultation event will take place on Thursday 30 June 2016 at The Festival Hall, Talbot Road, Alderley Edge, SK9 7HR from 2.00pm – 8.00pm. For more information about Story Homes developments visit our website www.stoyhomes.co.uk
