The first people to reserve homes at our new Cockermouth development – Strawberry Grange – celebrated with champagne, flowers and an exclusive ‘Builder Bear’ on Thursday 21 July.
Several buyers secured their dream homes at one of the busiest development launches ever hosted by Story Homes, as scores of house hunters came to find out more about the properties on offer at this popular location.
Eager home buyers queued at The Hundith Hill Hotel hours before the launch even opened to get their pick of the plots on offer.

Lisa Studholme was one of the first to purchase a new home having had her eye on the development for some time.
Lisa, who works for Cumbria County Council sold her house and moved into rented accommodation months ago in anticipation of the new Strawberry Grange development so that she was in a position to be able to snap up the house she wanted.
She said: “My husband Les and I want a house that is ready to move into with everything done for us so that our time is our own to spend with our two boys; nine year old George and six year old Henry.”
Lisa and Les can’t wait to move into their four bedroom detached ‘Boston’ house in spring next year. “It’s going to be brilliant – the boys will be able to get straight out in the garden with the football from day one without us needing to do anything to it, whilst Les and I unpack!” said Lisa.
