The first people to reserve homes at our new Clifton development – The Oaks – celebrated with champagne and flowers on Wednesday 26 October.

Buyers secured their dream homes at our busy development launch, as house hunters came to find out more about the properties on offer at this popular location.Eager home buyers queued at The North Lakes Hotel before the launch event opened to get their pick of the plots on offer.

Karen and David Hemingbrough were the first to purchase a new home having had their eye on the development for some time.

The couple who live in Culgaith moved into rented accommodation months ago in anticipation of the new Clifton development so that they were in a position to be able to snap up the house they wanted.

Karen said: “We want a house that is ready to move into with everything done for us so that our time is our own.”

The couple can’t wait to move into their house next year but have plenty to keep them busy in the mean time. “We get married next week – It’s all a bit of a rollercoaster! To buy a house and get married all in a week is so exciting and slightly overwhelming. I’m going to need the honeymoon to relax and take it all in” said Karen.

“Story Homes are known for building high quality properties that provide spacious accommodation for all the family, something that we just haven’t found from other housebuilders” added Karen.
Hayley Blair, Head of Sales for Story Homes, was on hand to congratulate the couple on their purchase.

She said: “I’m delighted that we’ve been able to secure a new home for Karen and David. The Oaks has 12 different house types to choose from and is on the doorstep of the Lake District National Park – it’s a fantastic development.”

Scores of other house hunters spoke to Story Homes’ Sales Executives about buying at the development over the course of the day with multiple early birds being snapped up on prime plots.

The Oaks is ideally situated on the fringe of the Lake District National Park, close to the market town of Penrith, which boasts many local attractions and has a range of excellent individual shops and eateries. It is perfectly placed and provides an excellent commuter base for the rest of Cumbria.
