We believe that we offer a unique career opportunity to new colleagues who join our business. We have clear ambitions to become a national house builder of high quality homes and will not compromise our ambitions or how we treat our colleagues. We believe that our growth and success means we are able to offer all our colleagues outstanding career opportunities. To ensure we are able to help all our colleagues maximise their potential we have developed the Aspire Programme. Find out more about how we help our people reach their potential below.
Every Story Homes colleague works with their line manager at the start of the year to set their objectives. Your objectives will help to ensure the individual, team and business are successful in achieving its ambitious objectives.
Progress towards these objectives is formally reviewed mid-way through and at the end of each year.
During September each colleague has a conversation with their line manager to talk about their career and development aspirations. This is an opportunity for you to create clear development plans which you will build upon throughout your career at Story Homes. This provides us with a systematic method of getting the right development to the right people at the right time. Following these conversations, the Senior Management Team updates our succession plan ensuring that wherever possible, opportunities to fill vacancies are done so internally.
To make it really easy for all colleagues to understand how we want people to work with us and our stakeholders we have developed a behaviour framework. This is grouped into four areas which are: Inspiring Others, Creating Value, Dealing with Others and Continuous Improvement.
How we behave and do business is vital to our continued success, so you will be assessed against our behaviour framework throughout your time at Story Homes starting at recruitment.
