Reserving a Story home with Early Bird

If you have your eye on one of our homes that’s not officially released for sale yet and you’re in a proceedable position, our Early Bird scheme gives you the opportunity to make it yours.

Watch the video below to hear our Sales Executive tell you about how you can go about reserving a new build with the Early Bird scheme.

How does Early Bird work?

Customer being shown their dream Story home | Story HomesStep one

Once you’ve chosen your dream home and are in a proceedable position, you can complete an Early Bird reservation form and pay a £150 fee to secure your plot. Then simply wait until your new home is released for sale.

Prior to us releasing your plot for sale, we will get in touch with you to give you first refusal.

How long can you reserve a new build for?

You will have 24 hours in which to decide whether you wish to proceed with the purchase or not.

If you choose to proceed, we will ask you to pay the full reservation fee to officially secure your new home. If for some reason you have changed your mind, we will refund £150 back to you within the 24 hour period – no questions asked. Once you’ve officially secured your home, we will begin to arrange appointments for choosing your options and any upgrades in advance of your home being ready.

How our customers found reserving a new build using the Early Bird scheme…

If you’ve got your heart set on a particular home and plot, this is the perfect option for you. You get your pick of the plots and have first refusal before it's released for general sale.

Available on selected plots only, subject to availability and cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer. Story Homes reserve the right to withdraw or alter these offers at any time. An Early Bird Reservation holds the Plot for the Purchaser until it is released for sale.  Exact Plot pricing and build timescales are not currently available.  Any estimated build dates are for guidance only and cannot be guaranteed.  Purchasers have 24 hours to confirm they wish to proceed to full reservation or to cancel once a price is given. Story Homes requires a decision to be made in the form of written confirmation.  If the decision is made to cancel within 24 hours Story Homes will refund you the full £150. Alternatively, if a decision has not been made within the 24-hour period, the Plot will go on the open market for sale and £50 of the reservation fee will be retained by Story Homes for administration purposes.  The Reservation Fee is deducted from any additional fee payable if the Purchaser accepts the price given and proceeds to a full reservation to purchase the Plot.
