Residents and stakeholders came together on Wednesday 14 June at Hornby Institute to view and comment on proposed plans to build 80 high quality new homes on land in the village of Hornby.
The event was very well attended with nearly 100 people taking the time to view the plans, ask questions and find out more about the proposed development.
We have started to prepare a detailed planning application to build 80 high quality new homes on this site located on Melling Road in Hornby, Lancaster.
Proposals would create a sustainable and integrated development that would make an important contribution to the district’s housing supply. The proposed development would deliver a mix of dwellings, and some of these new homes are likely to be affordable.
Development planner, Martin Nugent said: “We’re pleased it was such a busy event, as it’s really important people are informed and help shape our plans. We have lots of consultation responses to review and see if they can be incorporated into our proposals.”
Following the consultation, all responses will be reviewed and where possible incorporated into the proposed development. For further details visit the planning section. It is anticipated that the planning application will be submitted by the end of July 2017.
