Brabners joins Story Homes North West legal panel

April 2017

We have formally appointed commercial law firm Brabners to our North West panel of legal advisors.

The announcement will see the firm advise us on matters relating to its residential estates, which could include drafting and securing options or contracts to purchase, completing acquisitions and dealing with house sales.

David O’Reilly, land and planning director at Story Homes said: “As we expand across the North West it’s really important to have the right infrastructure to support this growth. We work closely with all our partners and have been investing in both our internal and external structures, laying the foundations of new systems across the business.

“Brabners has a fantastic reputation for property work and we are delighted to appoint them to our legal panel as we expand and continue to forge strong relationships across all areas of the business.

“We currently have nine developments underway across Lancashire and South Cumbria and will continue to expand across the North West in the coming year.”

Chris Parkinson, partner and head of residential development at Brabners, added: To have been approached by Story is testament to the strong team we have which specialises in the residential development market and the “cradle to grave” service of site acquisition through to development and plot sales. It’s clear that Story Homes has big plans to expand, particularly in the North West, and to be appointed to the panel is really exciting – we’re looking forward to supporting the business as it continues to increase it its presence across the region”

“The government’s target to build one million new homes by 2020 shows just how important the work of Story Homes, and indeed other developers, is in order to maintain and increase build rates across the country.”
