A new sales manager for Story Homes North East

September 2015

Julie Walker has joined Story Homes to head up sales at the company’s North East office in Newcastle.

Julie, 55, of Bedlington, Northumberland is Sales Manager at Panther House, Newcastle Business Park, and brings with her 16 years of experience in housing – including 10 years as part-exchange manager for Bellway North East.

She said: “I decided to join Story Homes because I think their homes will be a great addition to the area and the market in the North East.

“I became aware of Story Homes about three years ago when their first development in the region, The Woodlands in Shotley Bridge opened.

“I went onto their website and I was very impressed with the quality of the houses – I got it into my mind I’d like to work for the company.

“I became aware there was a job going and I decided to go for it. I contacted Story Homes and it has all been turned around very quickly. I feel very privileged to work here.”

It is anticipated that Julie’s sales team will grow quickly as Story Homes increase its number of developments in the North East.

She said: “I absolutely love my work. There are so many good things about Story Homes and the houses they build.

“They are a company with traditional values as far as treating their staff well and they build traditional houses to the very best standard and I am proud to work for them.”

Head of Sales at Story Homes, Louise McGuckin, said: “Julie brings considerable experience with her to Story Homes and is already proving to be an asset to the company.

“As the North East region continues to grow Julie’s experience will be invaluable and we are thrilled to have her on board.”
